O professor da FGV Direito Rio, Gustavo Schmidt, acaba de ser nomeado presidente da Comissão Especial encarregada de implementar a Câmara de Arbitragem dos BRICS. Constituída a partir da portaria 1047/2019 do Conselho Federal da Ordem dos Advogados do Brasil (OAB), a comissão tem o papel de harmonizar a cultura (e as regras) da arbitragem praticada nos países integrantes dos BRICS. O objetivo é conferir segurança jurídica aos investidores estrangeiros e, sobretudo, aos investimentos realizados pelo New Development Bank.
