Der Politikwissenschaftler ergänzt mit seiner Expertise ab Juni das achtköpfige interdisziplinäre Direktorium des bidt. Er ist seit 2021 Lehrstuhlinhaber für Politikwissenschaften, insbesondere digitale Transformation, an der Otto-Friedrich-Universität Bamberg.

Gerade in gemäßigten Klimazonen stellt der Winter für Honigbienenkolonien eine große Herausforderung dar. Um ihr Überleben zu sichern, müssen die Tiere die passende Temperatur im Bienenstock aufrechterhalten und die nächste Generation Arbeiterinnen heranziehen. Von entscheidender Bedeutung ist außerdem die Verfügbarkeit von Blütenpollen als Nahrung.
Dabei kommt es nicht nur auf die reine Menge an. Wie Forschende der Julius-Maximilians-Universität Würzburg (JMU) nun festgestellt haben, spielt auch die Vielfalt der verfügbaren Pflanzen eine wichtige Rolle.
