Auf seiner Sitzung am 4. Dezember 2023 hat der Universitätsrat der Julius-Maximilians-Universität Würzburg (JMU) seine bisherige Vorsitzende, Prof. Dr. Margret Wintermantel, in ihrem Amt bestätigt. Wintermantel hatte das Amt im Juni 2021 übernommen, nachdem ihr Vorgänger, Prof. Dr. Helmut Schwarz, zum 1. April 2021 aus dem Universitätsrat ausgeschieden war. Wintermantels zweite Amtszeit beginnt am 1. April 2024 an.
Global Counsel’s surveys found public awareness of generative AI to be strikingly high for a novel technology, with around 9 in 10 in the UK, US and Germany claiming to have heard of it.
