Today, scientists can tell us with certainty that increased carbon dioxide emissions are warming the planet. But who was the first to discover this, and when did that happen? 

I’ll bet it’s earlier than you think. Meet Eunice Newton Foote: a 19th century American scientist, inventor, and women’s rights activist whose contributions to climate science were effectively lost in history for nearly a century because of her gender.

The gender gap is a pervasive issue that has garnered attention in recent years, particularly in relation to the global pay inequality between men and women.

Die Länder Hamburg und Hessen haben eine Rechtsgrundlage für eine automatisierte Auswertung der polizeilichen Datenbestände geschaffen. Hintergrund ist, dass die Polizei sehr große Datenmengen gesammelt hat und es schwierig ist, diese händisch auszuwerten, um Anhaltspunkte für zukünftige Straftaten zu finden. Hessen setzt deshalb eine Software der Firma Palantir ein, also einen Algorithmus, der die Datenbestände der Polizei automatisiert auswerten kann.
