In dem neu gegründeten Kolleg arbeiten Forschende der Julius-Maximilians-Universität (JMU) zusammen, die zu Fragen der Gegenwart arbeiten, diese aber auch aus einer historischen Perspektive beleuchten. Ziel ist es, die fakultätsübergreifende Zusammenarbeit in den Geistes- und Sozialwissenschaften zu stärken sowie neue Impulse in Forschung und Lehre zu setzen. Sprecherinnen des neuen Kollegs sind Professorin Catrin Gersdorf, Leiterin des Lehrstuhls für Amerikanistik, und Professorin Stephanie Catani, Leiterin des Lehrstuhls für Neuere deutsche Literaturgeschichte I.

The UNNExT Expert Group Meeting on Developing a Legal Guide for Cross-border Paperless Trade was held on 15 January 2024. The Meeting was organized by the UNESCAP in response to the the Decision of the Parties to the Framework Agreement on Facilitation of Cross-border Paperless Trade in Asia and the Pacific (CPTA) during the 2nd Meeting of the Standing Committee.

Daratumumab ist ein künstlich hergestellter Antikörper, der gegen das Protein „CD38“ wirkt – dieses kommt insbesondere auf Tumorzellen vor. Das bedeutet: Daratumumab bekämpft den Tumor direkt und unterstützt gleichzeitig das Immunsystem dabei, Krebszellen besser zu erkennen und zu zerstören. Der Wirkstoff ist bereits für die Standardtherapie des Multiplen Myeloms (oder: „Knochenmarkkrebs“) zugelassen.

Le 9 janvier 2024, la Revue Internationale de Droit Pénal a publié le volume 94, numéro 2. Ce numéro de la RIDP, intitulé « Artificial Intelligence and Administration of Criminal Justice », présente les résultats d’une recherche collective entreprise en 2020. Basée sur un long questionnaire, cette recherche aborde des questions émergentes concernant l’utilisation de l’intelligence artificielle (IA), principalement l’apprentissage automatique, dans le contexte de la justice pénale : police prédictive, justice prédictive et preuves basées sur l’IA.

L’OCDE a publié aujourd’hui son rapport intitulé « Développer un règlement efficace des litiges en ligne en Lettonie ». Le rapport documente l’évaluation du règlement en ligne des litiges en Lettonie et résume les principales recommandations politiques pour soutenir son développement. Il s’inspire des travaux antérieurs influents de l’OCDE sur l’accès à la justice, par exemple les Recommandations de l’OCDE sur l’accès à la justice et les systèmes de justice centrés sur la personne.
