Mit dem Ziel den Kampf gegen Hatespeech und Desinformationen voranzutreiben, hat die Europäische Union den DSA als Teil eines Gesetzespakets gemeinsam mit dem Digital Markets Act (DMA) auf den Weg gebracht. In Anwendung treten wird der DSA mit dem größeren Teil seiner Vorschriften zum 17. Februar 2024. Durch die Verordnung soll die Rechtslage und das Regulierungsinstrumentarium an die Realitäten des Internets angepasst werden.

Final results of the digilog@bw project available

For three years, the digilog@bw research network of the state of Baden-Württemberg conducted interdisciplinary research and critical reflection on the influence of digitization on individuals and society. In addition to the IZEW, the network included the University of Mannheim, the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) and, at the Tübingen site, the Leibniz Institute for Knowledge Media (IWM). The speaker committee consisted of Professor Thomas Fetzer from the University of Mannheim (head), Professor Michael Decker from KIT and PD Dr. Jessica Heesen from the University of Tübingen.

I ascertain three elements of the concept of sociotechnical imaginaries (innovation, boundary making and material properties) guiding the empirical analysis.
