Der Nationale Pakt "Komm, mach MINT." ist die einzige bundesweite Netzwerk-Initiative, die Mädchen und Frauen für MINT-Studiengänge und -Berufe begeistern will. 2008 auf Initiative des Bundesministeriums für Bildung und Forschung gestartet, führt der Pakt seitdem die Kompetenz von Politik, Wirtschaft, Wissenschaft, Sozialpartnern und Medien zusammen, um das Bild der MINT-Berufe in der Gesellschaft zu verändern.

Grundsätzlich verweist die Hochschulleitung auf die stets aktuell gehaltenen Informationen des Auswärtigen Amtes, des Robert-Koch-Instituts sowie auf die Expertise des Universitätsklinikums Düsseldorf (UKD). Laut Robert-Koch-Institut ist die Gefahr für die Gesundheit der Bevölkerung in Deutschland durch die neue Atemwegserkrankung aus China weiterhin gering. Es halten sich – soweit in der Universitätsverwaltung bekannt – ohnehin keine HHU-Studierenden in China auf.

Renommierte Forschungsförderorganisationen stellen ihre Programme für den wissenschaftlichen Nachwuchs vor, darunter die Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG), die Alexander von Humboldt-Stiftung und die Fritz Thyssen Stiftung für Wissenschaftsförderung sowie unterstützende Organisationen. Beim dritten Forschungsfördertag der Heinrich-Heine-Universität Düsseldorf (HHU) geht es nicht allein um Finanzierungen, sondern genauso um gutes Netzwerken.

Danielle Citron devised an eight-point plan for political campaigns to protect against fabricated video and audio. Citron spoke to BU Today about her plan, her work with Facebook and Twitter, and the current presidential election.

Dieser dynamische Anpassungsprozess erhöht noch einmal die Leistungsfähigkeit unserer zellulären Kraftwerke. „Diese Erkenntnis ändert nach unserer Einschätzung grundsätzlich die Sichtweise, wie unsere zellulären Kraftwerke funktionieren und wird vermutlich die Lehrbücher verändern“, sagt Prof. Dr. Andreas Reichert, Institut für Biochemie und Molekularbiologie I der HHU. Die Ergebnisse sind aktuell in EMBO Reports beschrieben.
