The world’s biggest social network plans to launch a new dating application but in the same time it bans all types of potentially sexualised behaviour in a new version of its community standards, including communication via private groups or messages. This threatens not only the users’ freedom of expression but also their freedom of personal development.
No more “sexual behaviour”
With the New Year comes the launch of NAT64Check version 2 from the Internet Society. The first version of NAT64Check was introduced a couple of years ago and has proved very popular and successful, so for the past year we’ve been working on a number of enhancements in response to feedback and requests. And we’re very happy to be able to make the new version available as we welcome in 2019.
The rules require review committees to examine all surveillance orders issued under this section every couple of months.

At the Internet Society Sudan Chapter office, adjacent to the west bank of the Blue Nile, four men decided to set up a local server capable of DNSSEC verification. It was an unplanned deployathon: a hands on, practical session in which a solution or service is deployed in a real-world scenario. Deployathons can help build technical capacity or set up a new service, and in this case, the men hoped to increase knowledge of DNSSEC and to prepare the individuals managing Sudan’s top-level domain (.sd) for signing in the near future.
