In this study, commissioned by the LIBE Committee of the European Parliament, the CMPF research team undertakes an analysis of the European Media Freedom Act proposal.

The study offers a comprehensive examination of both the political and historical context surrounding EU policies related to media and the broader information society. It also takes into consideration the ongoing debate concerning EU competencies in the realms of media pluralism and media freedom.

Welche Sorgen, welche Ängste haben Menschen, die aus Kriegsgebieten in der Ukraine fliehen? Worüber sprechen sie in den sozialen Netzwerken? Und: Welche Themen beschäftigen sie nach ihrer Flucht? Die Lehrstühle für Englische Sprachwissenschaft und Globale Urbanisierung und Fernerkundung der Uni Würzburg haben dazu jetzt an einer neuen Studie gearbeitet. Darin werteten Forschende um die Lehrstuhlinhaber Prof. Carolin Biewer und Prof. Hannes Taubenböck Tweets von Flüchtenden aus und analysierten diese bezüglich des Inhalts, des Zeitpunkts und des Orts ihrer Entstehung.

O trabalho é resultado de uma pesquisa que mapeou 30 instrumentos e iniciativas, propostos pelo legislativo, executivo e tribunais eleitorais, que buscam desenhar um arcabouço normativo para o enfrentamento à desinformação na Argentina, Brasil, Chile e Colômbia. O objetivo da pesquisa é contribuir com uma leitura latino-americana para a discussão e o enfrentamento da desinformação.

Seit Mai ist sie neu als Juniorprofessorin für translationale Medizin am Institut für Systemimmunologie der Julius-Maximilians-Universität (JMU) Würzburg.

RNA-Moleküle sind echte Alleskönner. Sie tragen die genetische Information aus der DNA in der Zelle weiter. Sie regulieren die Aktivität von Genen. Und einige von ihnen wirken katalytisch: Genau wie Enzyme ermöglichen sie biochemische Reaktionen, die von allein nur schwer oder gar nicht ablaufen würden. RNA-Moleküle, die das leisten können, heißen Ribozyme.
Das Team von Chemieprofessorin Claudia Höbartner von der Julius-Maximilians-Universität (JMU) Würzburg präsentiert im Journal Nature Chemistry jetzt ein neu entdecktes Ribozym, das den Namen SAMURI erhielt.
