Este lunes 18 de enero, la máxima autoridad de la Universidad de Chile expuso ante la Comisión de Futuro, Ciencias, Tecnología, Conocimiento e Innovación de la Cámara de Diputados sobre la adjudicación del Instituto de Tecnologías Limpias a un consorcio de universidades de Estados Unidos.
Google won’t pay for news: Google has threatened to end its search engine services in Australia over the government’s efforts there to require the company to pay news publishers for articles it links to, the BBC reports. The proposed Australian news code would require Google and Facebook to enter into mediated negotiations with publishers over the value of news content, if they don’t reach agreement first.

El organismo dependiente de la Universidad de Chile identificó un aumento en el número de eventos respecto a 2019 y 2018. En total, 667 tuvieron una magnitud superior o igual a 4.0, -casi 2 por día en promedio-, mientras que los de magnitud mayor o igual a 6.0 ocurrieron en el segundo semestre.
La Rectoría de la Universidad de Chile ha estado desde el primer momento informándose y recopilando antecedentes acerca de los cuestionamientos que han salido a la luz, sobre algunos datos publicados en artículos en revistas científicas por el laboratorio del Dr. Claudio Hetz, y que han sido entregados en un reportaje en medios digitales y tomados posteriormente por la prensa nacional.
