The ITM welcomes Professor Dr. Guido Westkamp, LL.M. (London), Professor of Intellectual Property and Comparative Law at the University of London, as a guest researcher at the ITM for the next 6 months until April 2021. He is engaged in various research questions in intellectual property law. His focus is on copyright law. He is considered a particular expert in the field of sampling. This will remain the focus of his research in the coming months.

Nearly 450 million EU citizens are counting on the Council of the European Union to make decisions that protect their safety. The Council has a duty make these decisions based on reliable information.

Este lunes 9 de noviembre arrancó esta actividad que este año se realiza de manera 100 por ciento virtual. Actividades focalizadas en cápsulas científicas y charlas en rangos horarios durante todos los días de la semana, culminarán el sábado 14 de noviembre con premiaciones y entrega de distinciones a alumnos y alumnas destacadas de la Facultad.

La nueva entrega del estudio del Colegio Médico y la Universidad de Chile junto a otras universidades, muestra profundización de la desigualdad en el reparto de tareas de cuidado. Un 42,16 por ciento de las mujeres son cuidadoras, con una mayoría que ha visto intensificada su labor en comparación a un 31,05 por ciento de los hombres.

El proceso se inició en 2017 e incluyó la formalización del reglamento de este organismo universitario para adecuarlo a las disposiciones legales del Ministerio de Salud, así como a las nuevas exigencias de la Agencia Nacional de Investigación y Desarrollo de Chile (ANID).

Onno Purbo is a people person. It’s not typically something you hear about an engineer. But it is through his approach to education in the Internet sphere that Indonesian villages have access at all.

“The other engineers, they are very much engineer,” Purbo said. “A problem is solved by coding, is solved by an antenna, is solved by a product of some kind. My approach is a more human approach. Most engineers introduce their products, I give people the knowledge.”
