Autonomy has become the magic word of modern society and people are increasingly empowered to decide for themselves what is good for them and what is not. Among many other areas, this also affects the contemporary approach to the end of life. Not least when it comes to the whereabouts of mortal remains, there are more options available today than ever before. But there is not always harmonious agreement among relatives when it comes to arranging the 'last things'; sometimes interests in self-determination clash with bureaucratic regulatory efforts.

2023年4月17日18点北师大全球发展战略合作伙伴项目国际专家网络讲座第六讲隆重举行。主讲人为来自该项目国际合作单位联合国国际贸易法委员会负责电子商务工作组的Luca Castellani博士，法学院院长梁迎修教授作为致辞嘉宾，介绍了北师大与联合国国际贸易法委员会长期的合作关系、联合主办的国际活动，并表达了继续与之合作发展的良好愿望。本次讲座由法学院薛虹教授担任主持人和评议人。薛虹教授介绍了Castellani博士在联合国专门机构工作二十余年，积累了关于国际立法工作的丰富经验，参与多部联合国电子商务领域的示范法起草、谈判、解释、修订工作，为国际贸易法发展作出贡献。

第133届广交会（春交会）期间，作为第二届珠江国际贸易论坛的主题论坛之一，首届“贸易数字化创新发展论坛”于4月15日在广交会展馆成功举办。商务部国际贸易谈判代表兼副部长王受文、广东省副省长张新出席论坛并致辞，世界贸易组织副总干事张向晨发表视频致辞。王副部长表示，近年来，商务部会同相关部门积极推动单一窗口建设，制定粤港澳大湾区全球贸易数字化领航区建设方案，开展贸易数字化指标体系研究，推动货物贸易数字化发展取得积极成效。商务部坚持“让数据多跑路、让企业少跑腿”，在深入推进贸易管理、贸易方式等数字化的同时，还将深入研究、积极推进贸易环节、贸易服务、贸易主体的数字化赋能升级。

本次论坛由商务部和广东省人民政府共同主办，中国工商银行支持，商务部配额许可证事务局、中国对外贸易中心、广东省商务厅和中国工商银行广东省分行联合承办，中国对外经济贸易统计学会、中国电子商会协办。薛虹教授作为国家贸易数字化专家委员会委员受邀参加此次论坛，并与嘉宾进行了热烈的交流。来自政府部门、研究机构、高等院校、商协学会和企业的嘉宾围绕论坛主题深入探讨、建言献策。
