Die bekanntesten Bestäuber sind Bienen, aber diese sind bei weitem nicht die einzigen Insekten, die diesen Dienst für den Menschen und die Natur erbringen - Fliegen, Käfer, Schmetterlinge und Motten spielen ebenfalls eine wichtige Rolle.
Die Auswirkungen des Klimawandels können die Nahrungsmittelversorgung gefährden, soziale Probleme vertiefen und letztlich zu Konflikten führen. Studierende der Julius-Maximilians-Universität (JMU) Würzburg wollten daher ein Zeichen setzen und im Rahmen ihrer Möglichkeiten etwas zur Bekämpfung des Klimawandels leisten: Sie haben einen offenen Brief an die Universitätsleitung der JMU verfasst.
