On April 2, 2025, the Datasphere Initiative kicked off its AI Sandboxes Co-Creation Lab series in Kigali, Rwanda, ahead of the inaugural Global AI Summit on Africa. Held at Westerwelle Startup Haus Kigali, the session convened 17 participants from government, private sector, academia, development organisations and civil society to explore how sandboxes can serve as agile governance tools for advancing responsible AI across the continent.

This year’s Carinthian Academic Table Tennis Championships took place as usual on 23.04.2025 at the Sportpark Klagenfurt. The winners in the women’s and men’s singles and doubles competitions were determined in great competition conditions. The women’s singles and doubles competitions were played in a knockout system. The men’s singles was played in 4 groups, with the first and second-placed players in each group advancing to the quarter-finals.

Fulbright Scholar Claudia Ford gave a guest lecture on 2 April 2025 entitled “American History and the Secret Life of Medicinal Plants: Archives, Ethnobotany and Environmental Justice.” The lecture was recorded by AAU and is available online via Fulbright’s Youtube channel.

As in previous elections (2022, 2019) the QUT Digital Media Research Centre team is tracking how election campaigning is unfolding across the social media landscape, with a particular focus on candidate and party activities and engagement.

I’m trying to make sense of the complex systems that accompany my experience of reality–everyday & everywhere–and I mean two things in particular: internet and my (human) (sub- and conscious) mind. 

Dans les deux précédents billets, nous avons successivement abordé la notion [1], puis l’histoire et la méthode [2] des humanités numériques. Nous allons présenter ici plusieurs projets, en cours ou achevés, dans l’optique d’illustrer la diversité des usages possibles en la matière.
Certains projets sont présentés en langue française, d’autres en anglais. Leurs domaines sont très variés : histoire, littérature, droit, géopolitique, épidémiologie, ou encore exégèse.
