In light of the rapid expansion of artificial intelligence and the regulatory challenges it presents in the domains of urban logistics and transportation, the Ministry of Economy, Development, and Tourism of Chile, in collaboration with the NoC and with the technical support of CAF-Development Bank of Latin America and the Caribbean, introduces a technical proposal for the design of an AI regulatory sandbox for this sector. This initiative represents one of the first regulatory sandboxes to be developed in the country.

This document offers a detailed technical roadmap and a comparative analysis of relevant international experiences. Its purpose is to provide a foundation for developing a series of flexible and trustworthy regulatory sandboxes that facilitate the safe and supervised experimentation of artificial intelligence systems in Chile. Ante la rápida expansión de la IA y sus desafíos regulatorios en el ámbito de la logística urbana y el transporte, el Ministerio de Economía, Fomento y Turismo de Chile, en conjunto con el NoC y con el apoyo técnico de CAF-Banco de Desarrollo de América Latina y el Caribe, presenta una propuesta técnico para el diseño de un sandbox regulatorio para la IA en este sector en Chile. Este será uno de los primeros sandboxes regulatorios desarrollados en el país.

Este documento ofrece una guía técnica y un análisis comparativo de experiencias internacionales, con el fin de plantear un panorama para la construcción de múltiples sandboxes regulatorios flexibles y confiables que permitan la experimentación segura y controlada de sistemas de inteligencia artificial en Chile.
