At the Maastricht Law and Tech Lab, we believe that we can create a better society by studying digital transformation from law and computer science.​ We foster a community of legal researchers and computer scientists who work collaboratively to integrate law and computer science methods.​We conduct academic and practical research on selected research themes (eg digital forensics, compliance) and on selected topics (eg consumer protection, drones, privacy), based on different data sets (eg legislation, case law, social media data), by means of a variety of methods (eg legal analysis, natural language processing, machine learning, network analysis).​
