CU Will Resume Normal Operations on 20 January 2014

 
 
Chulalongkorn University will resume normal operation on Monday January 20, 2014. University personnel who have difficulty in commuting to work have to notify their supervisors so that their days off will not be recorded as leave days. However, supervisors will consider the requests of personnel on a case-by-case basis.
Postponement of Semester System’s Final Examination
• The University has postponed the exam by 1 week.
• Faculty might consider rescheduling the exam schedule by announcing it as “TDF”.
• If a student cannot attend the exam because of the changed schedule, he/she can make a request to postpone the exam on an individual basis by
o Submitting the request of postponement “ in advance” (prior to the exam) and
o Presenting an evidence of proof that the plan which causes him/her not to be able to attend the exam was made before the change of exam schedule
           Opening and Closing of CU Gates
A person who enters the University’s compound by car has to present a CU car sticker or a staff/student ID card. Without a CU car park sticker, one has to park his/her car at a car park building only. A person who uses the University’s pedestrian gates has to present his/her staff/student ID card to CU security personnel.
During Friday – Sunday (17 – 19 January 2014)
• All the University’s Driveway gates and Pedestrian gates are closed
o Only cars with CU car stickers are allowed to enter the University compound.

o Gates at Faculty of Political Science and Faculty of Veterinary
o Gate at Dhamma Satharn
Pedestrian Gate:
o Connecting gate between Chamchuri Square and Faculty of Commerce and Accountancy ( 8.00 – 18.00 hours)
From Monday, 20 January 2014 onwards
• Open Gates
Driveway gates and Pedestrian gates:
o Gates at Faculty of Political Science and Faculty of Veterinary
o Gate at Faculty of Commerce and Accountancy (Open during 6.00 – 18.00 hrs)
o Gate at Dhamma Satharn
o Gates that open during 5.30 – 9.00 hrs and 15.30 – 17.30 hrs are Gates at Faculty of Communication Arts and Faculty of Education, Gates at Faculty of Education and Chamchuri 5, and Gate on Soi Chula 42 (CU Demonstration Secondary School)
Pedestrian Gates:
o Connecting gate between Chamchuri square and Faculty of Commerce and Accountancy ( Open during 5.00 – 22.00 hrs)
o Tunnel gates and pedestrian gates at Faculty of Education/ Faculty of Science (Open during 6.00 – 18.00 hrs)
o Entrance gates at Pharotracha House/Faculty of Architecture (Open during 6.00 – 18.00 hrs)
o Gates at Sasin and Faculty of Allied Health Sciences (Open during 6.00 – 18.00 hrs)
* Remarks: The opening and closing of the University’s gates are subject to change depending upon necessity.
Car Par Buildings
• Car Park Building 1 (Chamchuri 9 Building) – Entrance and exit at Soi Chula 42
• Car Park Building 2 (Mahachakri Siridhorn Building) – Entrance and exit on Henri Dunant Road (the car park building’s gate is open but Faculty of Arts’ gate is closed)
• Car Park Building 3 (next to Faculty of Political Science)
CU Shuttle Bus Service is available during 7.00 – 18.00 hrs.
