Assoc. Prof. Dr. Anja Bauer has been appointed to the ZIRIUS Scientific Advisory Board for the next three years.
ZIRIUS stands for Center for Interdisciplinary Risk and Innovation Studies and is based at the University of Stuttgart. Through inter- and transdisciplinary projects, ZIRIUS researches the conditions and opportunities for socio-technical change and explores opportunities for democratic innovations for a just and sustainable society. This work relates well to the Department of Society, Knowledge and Politics’ focus areas of ‘sustainability’ and ‘knowledge and democracy’. As a member of the advisory board, Anja Bauer will advise ZIRIUS over the coming years on the further development of its profile and on strategic and substantive issues. In addition, there will be an exchange of ideas and networking on shared research interests. The first meeting took place online on 9 October 2026.
