Pascal Lehner successfully defended his doctoral thesis entitled “A First Order in Time Formulation for Nonlinear Acoustics” on September 10, 2026.

His external reviewers and examiners were Ilaria Perugia, University of Vienna, and Herbert Egger, Johannes Kepler University Linz; his supervisor was Barbara Kaltenbacher, and his co-supervisor was Christian Pötzsche. Elena Resmerita chaired the defense.

On this occasion, the tradition of handing over a “Doktorhut” was inaugurated at our department!
