Safety instructions and hotline for HHU members

In principle, university management refers to the always up-to-date information provided by the German Foreign Office, the Robert Koch Institute and the expertise of Düsseldorf University Hospital. You will find the links below. According to the Robert Koch Institute, the risk to the health of the population in Germany currently posed by the new respiratory disease from China remains low.
Some universities in Germany have stipulated that travellers from China are not allowed to enter the campus for two weeks after their return. Such a measure is not planned for HHU, as it is questionable how effective it would be. In a public space like the campus, this is practically impossible to implement. Moreover, it would be difficult to understand why a ban on entering the campus should only apply to universities.   Members of HHU who have been in China since last December can use the expertise of university medicine for advice: Prof. Dr. Dieter Häussinger, Director of the Clinic for Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Infectiology, has set up a consultation telephone number for them. Students, staff and scientists can obtain information on risk reduction and possible symptoms of the corona virus from the clinic team over the phone by calling +49 211 81-17031 on weekdays from 8.30 am to 12 midday and from 2.00 pm to 4.00 pm.   For emergencies, however, the emergency number 112 and, if necessary, the emergency number of the special isolation ward (SIS) +49 211 81-17795 are the first choice, as always.
