CIRSFID (Interdepartmental Centre for Research in the History, Philosophy and Sociology of Law, and in Legal Informatics), founded in 1986, involves an interdisciplinary team composed by more of 30 senior and junior researchers, with national and European experience, from the Departments of Law, Electronics, Computer Science and Systems, Philosophy, Mathematics, Statistics and Economics.

CIRSFID carries out research on artificial Intelligence and law, on computational legal logic and argumentation, on standards for legal texts and knowledge, on data protection and privacy, on legal issues of e-commerce and e-government, on bioethics and biolaw.
