Das Team von Chemieprofessorin Claudia Höbartner von der Julius-Maximilians-Universität (JMU) Würzburg präsentiert im Journal Nature Chemistry jetzt ein neu entdecktes Ribozym, das den Namen SAMURI erhielt.

Mitte August wurden die neuesten Ergebnisse des Academic Ranking of World Universities (ARWU) veröffentlicht, das besser bekannt ist unter dem Namen „Shanghai-Ranking“. Die Julius-Maximilians-Universität Würzburg (JMU) schneidet erneut stark ab und liegt weltweit in der Ranggruppe 201 bis 300. An der Spitze des Rankings stehen auch in diesem Jahr die US-amerikanischen Universitäten Harvard und Stanford sowie das Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Was arbeiten Absolventinnen und Absolventen der Julius-Maximilians-Universität Würzburg (JMU)? Um Studierenden verschiedene Perspektiven vorzustellen, hat Michaela Thiel, Geschäftsführerin des zentralen Alumni-Netzwerks, ausgewählte Ehemalige befragt. Diesmal ist Sebastian Schlücker an der Reihe.

Im ersten Semester an der Uni stehen gerade die Lehramtsstudierenden vor einer kniffligen Aufgabe: Sie müssen sich ihren Stundenplan zusammenzustellen. Das klingt leicht, ist aber gar nicht so einfach.
„Im Lehramtsbereich gibt es sehr viele Wahlmöglichkeiten. Darum werden kaum zwei Lehramtsneulinge einen identischen Stundenplan haben – sogar dann, wenn sie dieselben Fächer studieren“, sagt Henning Schröder von der Zentralen Studienberatung der Julius-Maximilians-Universität Würzburg (JMU).
