Unisport Austria Beach Volleyball Championships 2026: Title deciders in glorious weather and a home victory in Klagenfurt!
From 3 to 4 June 2026, the beach volleyball courts at the University Sports Institute (USI) in Klagenfurt became the centre of academic beach volleyball. After a rather mediocre start in terms of weather on the first day of the tournament, the athletes were rewarded with glorious sunshine and absolutely perfect weather on the final Thursday. The new championship titles were awarded on the sand in front of a fantastic crowd.
An overview of the key results:
Women’s competition: Huge cheers for the hosts! In a thrilling match, the Klagenfurt pair KATZ/ZIELER prevailed and were crowned the deserved tournament winners in front of their home crowd. They defeated the team RIHS/BISANZ in the final after a strong performance and brought the championship title back to Carinthia. Third place went to LINDNER/LACEK.
Men’s competition: In the men’s event, the duo STEINER/LORENTZ celebrated their tournament victory. They relegated the pair ZELENKA/TRAUTH to second place. Bronze went to HOLECEK/LEITNER.
