Research Stay in the field of Public, Nonprofit and Health Care Management

PUMADr. Hanna Kelm and Dr. Karolina Szymaniec-Mlicka from the University of Economics in Katowice, Poland, have successfully completed their research stay at the University of Klagenfurt (Austria). They were hosted by the Department of  Accounting, Financial Management, and Governance Subject Area Public, Nonprofit and Health Care Management at the invitation of Univ.-Prof. Mag. Dr. Paolo Rondo-Brovetto.

The visit was a key element of their ongoing research on the digital evolution of public administration. During their time in Klagenfurt, the researchers developed a detailed research plan that will result in a joint scientific article and a presentation at the upcoming ENPA (European Network for Public Administration) conference in Bucharest.
The focus of their work was: “Digital Transformation of Social Services for Older Adults in Poland: Public Administration Challenges, Innovation, and Inclusive Governance”. Researchers analyzed how digital tools can be effectively integrated into social policy to address the challenges of an ageing society. The collaboration provided valuable insights into governance models that foster innovation while ensuring digital inclusion for senior citizens.
