Invitation to interdisciplinary and international seminar and roundtable „Understanding and preserving eco-cultural heritage through interdisciplinarity“

Dear colleagues,
together with Mariana Lazzaro-Salazar (sociolinguist) and Enrique A. Mundaca (biologist) (both Universidad Católica del Maule / Chile) I would like to invite you to the seminar and roundtable on “Understanding and preserving eco-cultural heritage through interdisciplinarity”.
The event will take place on April 28, 2026 from 15.15. to 18.15 (incl. coffee break) in Z.1.0.9.

Mariana Lazzaro-Salazar and Enrique A. Mundaca will first present their Anillos Project (ANID-ATE230028)„Biodiversity from the Coast to the Mountains: A socio-environmental study of the (Eco-)Cultural practices of rural communities in a Climate Change scenario” (https://ecosofclimatechange.cl/en/). After the break, there will be a roundtable to discuss options of collaboration with researchers from all faculties of AAU and also possible adaptations of the project to the local contexts of Carinthia and Austria more generally.
If there are any questions, I am happy to answer them.
Mariana Lazzaro-Salazar, Enrique A. Mundaca and I are looking forward to discussing this highly relevant topic with you.

Best wishes,
Eva Graf
