I m Rahmen der Anschubfinanzierung starten im April 2021 vier Projekte, mit denen innovative Forschungsideen gefördert werden. Innerhalb der Laufzeit von sechs bis neun Monaten sollen die Ideen ausgearbeitet und konkretisiert werden. Vorrangiges Ziel ist die Erschließung bisher kaum erforschter Themenfelder, die das bidt-Forschungsprogramm ergänzen oder erweitern können. Angestrebt und skizziert werden soll ein greifbares Ergebnis, insbesondere die Erstellung einer Analyse und Publikation, die Ausarbeitung eines konkreten Forschungsprojektes oder die Entwicklung einer Softwareapplikation.

Politische InfluencerInnen in DeutschlandDas Pilotprojekt „Politische InfluencerInnen in Deutschland“ befasst sich mit der Vermarktung politischer Inhalte in sozialen Medien. Die Reichweite ihrer Social-Media-Kanäle macht Influencerinnen und Influencer nicht nur als Werbeträger für Produkte interessant, sondern wird zunehmend auch genutzt, um politische Inhalte zu verbreiten.

Wissenschaftlich ist die Rolle von Influencern bei der Verbreitung politischer Inhalte jedoch bislang kaum untersucht. Ziel des Projekts ist es unter anderem, politische Influencerinnen und Influencer in Deutschland zu identifizieren, zunächst auf YouTube und Instagram, und zu analysieren, welche Inhalte sie im Vorfeld der Bundestagswahl 2021 verbreiten. Als Projektmitarbeiterin unterstützt Magdalena Riedl das Forschungsteam an der Uni Bamberg.
Digitale Infrastruktur: Regionale sozio-ökonomische Effekte des Mobilfunkausbaus in DeutschlandDas Forschungsprojekt unter Leitung von Moritz Goldbeck und Valentin Lindlacher (ifo Institut – Leibniz-Institut für Wirtschaftsforschung an der Universität München e.V.) widmet sich der Untersuchung der potenziellen Auswirkungen von kontinuierlich verbesserter Mobilfunkinfrastruktur aus ökonomischer sowie regionalentwicklungspolitischer Sicht.
Digitalkompetenz als Mindset – Professionalisierung der Digitalkompetenzen von LehrkräftenEine Anschubfinanzierung bekommt auch das Projekt der Julius-Maximilians-Universität Würzburg. Das Projektteam bestehend aus Dr. Astrid Carolus, Catharina Münch und Prof. Dr. Sanna Pohlmann-Rother verfolgt dabei das Kernanliegen, die Potenziale der Digitalisierung für das fachliche Lernen sowie für die Gestaltung individualisierter und kooperativer Lehr-Lernsituationen im Unterricht künftig besser auszuschöpfen. Dieses Projekt soll im Mai 2021 starten.
Digitalisierung als Treiber der Pandemie? Mediale Krisenkommunikation unter den Bedingungen digitaler Öffentlichkeiten während der Corona-Krise 2020/2021Darüber hinaus fördert das bidt ein Kurzprojekt von Prof. Dr. Carsten Reinemann (Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München) und Prof. Dr. Marcus Maurer (Johannes-Gutenberg-Universität Mainz). Mit ihrem Projekt untersuchen sie die öffentliche Meinungsbildung im Verlauf der Coronakrise. Insbesondere soll diese schematisch mit vorangegangenen politischen Krisen verglichen werden, um Handlungsmuster in Medien, Politik und Bevölkerung zu identifizieren.
