14 March 2023, San Francisco, CA, USA – Yesterday, the Wikimedia Foundation, the nonprofit that operates Wikipedia and other Wikimedia projects, was rejected for accreditation to the World Intellectual Property Organization’s (WIPO) Standing Committee on Copyright and Related Rights (SCCR).

Die Länder Hamburg und Hessen haben eine Rechtsgrundlage für eine automatisierte Auswertung der polizeilichen Datenbestände geschaffen. Hintergrund ist, dass die Polizei sehr große Datenmengen gesammelt hat und es schwierig ist, diese händisch auszuwerten, um Anhaltspunkte für zukünftige Straftaten zu finden. Hessen setzt deshalb eine Software der Firma Palantir ein, also einen Algorithmus, der die Datenbestände der Polizei automatisiert auswerten kann.

An der Julius-Maximilians-Universität Würzburg (JMU) startet am 20. April 2023 eine neue Vorlesung, die einzigartig sein dürfte: „Grundlagen und Methoden der UAP-Forschung“.
Mit UAP sind „Unidentified Aerial Phenomena“ gemeint, unidentifizierte Phänomene im Luftraum. Das können zum Beispiel bewegliche Objekte oder Lichterscheinungen sein. Viele dieser Phänomene lassen sich bei genauerer Betrachtung wissenschaftlich erklären, einige aber nicht.
