In 1915, Alice Ball, an African American chemist, developed the most effective treatment for leprosy the world had ever seen. For years, her discovery was dubbed the “Dean Method,” after chemistry professor Arthur L. Dean, who had worked with Ball and took credit for her work following her untimely death in 1916.

Seitdem verläuft die Entwicklung auf dem KI-Sektor derart rasant, dass viele Menschen regelrecht überrumpelt sind. Auch kleine und mittelständische Unternehmen (KMU) stehen oft vor der Frage, ob und wie sie von Künstlicher Intelligenz und der digitalen Transformation profitieren können.

The data encountered in computing can exist in three different states: at rest, in transit, or in use. Data at rest refers to files stored locally on a hard drive or in cloud services like Google Photos or iCloud. Data in transit, on the other hand, includes information being transferred between devices or over networks, such as a password sent from a web browser to a bank’s server. Lastly, data in use pertains to information actively processed in a computer’s memory (DRAM) or processor’s registers.
On the WTO’s X account, we can read that “WTOMC13AbuDhabi concludes with outcomes on development, e-commerce work programme, and moratorium, and dispute settlement reform. Members have reaffirmed their commitment to continue working on outstanding issues.” But is it a success? Especially concerning digital issues, it is doubtful.

März eine große Hürde genommen: An Bord einer SpaceX-Rakete hat er pünktlich um 23.05 Uhr (MEZ) von der Westküste der USA aus seine Reise in den Orbit angetreten. Designt und gebaut wurde der Satellit von einem Team um den Raumfahrttechniker Professor Hakan Kayal.
