Why did you decide to study at the University of Klagenfurt? Due to the ideal study conditions: the interdisciplinary degree programme, an excellent student-to-faculty ratio, approachable and supportive professors, a green campus and of course the proximity to the stunning lake Wörthersee.
My study programme in three words… Diverse, collaborative, rewarding.
Studying in Klagenfurt was an investment in my career because… it equipped me with specialised knowledge and skills relevant to my current profession. Additionally, the university afforded me ample flexibility to pursue study and work opportunities abroad without impeding my academic advancement.
What fascinates you about your current job? The opportunity to have a real impact on the way the EU is run by contributing to audit reports that help EU institutions and the Member States to better manage and supervise the use of EU funds.
My ultimate tip for today’s students… Enjoy the journey, build strong relationships with peers and mentors, and seize all the opportunities along the way.
Why I headed out into the world… I’ve always had the desire to explore the world, while also appreciating the perks of living in beautiful Carinthia. Fortunately, as a student, I managed to complete some semesters and internships abroad, and now I have the luxury of occasionally spending my home office days in Carinthia.

Why did you decide to study at the University of Klagenfurt? I chose the University of Klagenfurt because it was perfectly accessible, allowed me to balance my studies with my career as a radio presenter, and, above all, matched my keen interest in Media and Communications.
My study programme in three words… It broadened my horizons, was challenging and hands-on.
Studying in Klagenfurt was an investment in my career because… I gained new perspectives and new knowledge.
What fascinates you about your current job? The fact that, even after 20 years, I still do it with great love and passion. It never gets monotonous; I’m always at the cutting edge and feel a genuine and direct connection to my listeners and viewers.
My ultimate tip for today’s students… Definitely spend one, two or three semesters abroad and make a conscious effort to enjoy the time!
Why I stayed in Carinthia… Because of my job.

What fascinates you about your current job? The challenges and joys of creating a successful product.
My ultimate tip for today’s students… Follow your interests, they will lead you to where you need to be.
Why I headed out into the world… I never had major plans to leave Carinthia, as it’s a wonderful place to be. However, after completing my studies, the most interesting opportunities appeared first outside of Carinthia, and eventually outside of Austria, in California. I seized each opportunity as it came, discovering that the world is full of many great places and people.

Why did you decide to study at the University of Klagenfurt? Because of the degree programme ”Applied Cultural Science“ – the structure of the degree programme is really rare and unique in Klagenfurt.
My study programme in three words… Self-determined, creative, personal.
Studying in Klagenfurt was an investment in my career because… I was able to develop my work and personal interests while no one was pushing me.
What fascinates you about your current job? The unique sound of the Berliner Philharmoniker and the special acoustics of the Philharmonie – the combination of music, space and atmosphere never fails to inspire me.
My ultimate tip for today’s students… Enjoy your time as a student, don’t hurry and take all the opportunities offered!
Why I headed out into the world… Because I was hungry for more culture in terms of music. My dream was to live in a big city and to soak up all the different possibilities.
