The international research cooperation “Sympoieisis of the Invisible: Narratives about Technology in the Global South”, hosted by the International Center for Ethics in the Sciences and Humanities (IZEW), focuses on digitalization, digital exploitation, and digital colonialism in the Global South. In April 2021, a first workshop on practices and effects of digital education in Brazil was conducted. The second workshop with the title „Appropriation as Resistance“ will focus on Argentina.

The International Center for Ethics in the Sciences and Humanities (IZEW) at the University of Tübingen will launch pilot activities together with the non-profit organization Zan e.V. in Frankfurt, Germany. The participants of the pilot are Afghan women who have fled their country and are getting accustomed to social life in Frankfurt, a vibrant city in Germany. During the women’s arrival and integration, the WeNet chatbot “Ask for Help” can be a useful tool to connect with other Afghan women to share experiences and knowledge.
