A new article, written in 2022 and published in 2023 -- with pictures!

In early 2022 I was asked to write a brief statement on an academic vision for AI ethics. As this topic has become only more important in the year since, I thought I'd share my statement here:

Das Projektteam des bidt-Projekts „Ethik in der agilen Softwareentwicklung“ entwickelt ein Konzept, um ethische Überlegungen bereits in den Prozess der Softwareentwicklung zu integrieren. Am 30. November 2022 veröffentlichte der US-amerikanische Softwarehersteller OpenAI mit ChatGPT (GPT‑3), einen auf Künstlicher Intelligenz (KI) beruhenden Chatbot.

Rund 26 Millionen Bilder, Illustrationen und Videos hat die Bilddatenbank „Colourbox“ aktuell im Angebot. Vom 1. April 2023 an haben Dozentinnen und Dozenten, Studierende sowie Beschäftigte der Julius-Maximilians-Universität Würzburg (JMU) darauf Zugriff – die Kosten für die entsprechende Campuslizenz trägt die Uni.
