Supraleiter sind Materialien, die Strom ohne elektrischen Widerstand leiten können – das macht sie zum idealen Grundstoff für elektronische Bauteile in MRT-Geräten, Magnetschwebebahnen und sogar Teilchenbeschleunigern. Einziges Problem: Herkömmliche Supraleiter lassen sich leicht durch äußere Einflüsse stören, insbesondere durch Magnetfelder. Einer internationalen Forschungsgruppe ist es jetzt gelungen, ein Hybridbauteil zu konstruieren, das aus einem stabilen Supraleiter besteht, dessen Funktion gezielt gesteuert werden kann.
