Im Jahr 2019 trat das Projekt we4bee an der Julius-Maximilians-Universität Würzburg (JMU) mit einem ehrgeizigen Ziel an: Es wollte Bienenstöcke digitalisieren und die gesammelten Daten nutzen – zum Wohl der Bienen, der Imkerei und letzten Endes der ganzen Gesellschaft. Denn schließlich tragen Bienen als Bestäuberinnen viel dazu bei, landwirtschaftliche Erträge und damit die Ernährungsgrundlage der Menschheit zu sichern.

Before the Lebanese government endorsed Ogero’s seven-fold price hikes, journalist Ali Noureddine found himself at the mercy of his local internet distributor due to the unavailability of Ogero services in his residing area of Bchamoun-South of Beirut neighborhood. Now, as the government green-lights these increments, his plight persists with Ogero, albeit with a significant difference – the $20 he previously paid for an underperforming internet distributor will escalate to over $45 per month!

Digital Asia Hub hosted the 20th anniversary instance of the Chinese Internet Research Conference (CIRC), a global network for emerging and senior academics studying digital life in China.This year, the Hub took on the mantle as CIRC organiser, partnering with The Faculty of Mass Communication at Chiang Mai University as local hosts.
