AI has qualities that can be used for the benefit of a wide variety of people and help them become more empowered in both physical and digital worlds.
The purpose of this workshop is to gain and share insights in how AI, including the recent boom of generative AI applications, could empower digital media users in their everyday life and work.

[Florence, 2 October 2023] – A consortium of seven European organisations, coordinated by the Centre for Media Pluralism and Media Freedom, is proud to announce that it has been awarded a substantial grant from the European Commission to organise the European Festival of Journalism and Media Literacy.

The festival marks a significant departure from previous initiatives in the field, promising to bring fresh perspectives and insights to the forefront of media discourse. The inaugural edition will take place in Florence in March 2024.

On the occasion of the International Day for Universal Access to Information, our Research Associate Mária Žuffová critically examines access to information policies, as assessed by the Media Pluralism Monitor 2023. She argues that governments must go beyond the status quo to reap the benefits of their own access to information policies.

Die Erkundung hat eine Reihe von Lagerräumen zutage gefördert, die zuvor noch nicht dokumentiert worden waren. Diese Entdeckung wirft ein neues Licht auf die Architektur der Pyramide Sahuras, des zweiten Königs der Fünften Dynastie (2400 v. Chr.) und des ersten Königs, der in Abusir bestattet wurde.
