Since its founding by Professor Soumitra Dutta in 2007, the Global Innovation Index (GII) has become a premier reference for measuring a country’s innovation performance. Published by the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) in partnership with the Portulans Institute, the report ranks the innovation ecosystem performance of economies around the globe each year while highlighting innovation strengths and weaknesses and particular gaps in innovation metrics.

Ten years ago I began writing a book. It was going to be called Power/Sharing and would pick up on my previous book Two Bits: The Cultural Significance of Free Software.

Und Würzburg ist der ideale Ort!“ Wie lässt sich diese Aussage besser und kürzen transportieren als mit dem Slogan, der das Leitmotiv der neuen JMU-Marketingkampagne bildet: You are my UniverCsity. Auffällig ist, dass in diesem Fall um das s von „University“ eine c-förmige Umrandung für den Wortteil „City“ steht. Klare Botschaft: Sowohl die University als auch die City von Würzburg sind für alle, die sich für ein Studium interessieren, die ideale Entscheidung.

Untersuchungen in Indonesien hatten zwar in der Vergangenheit gezeigt, dass auch Vögel und Fledermäuse dazu beitragen können, den Ernteertrag zu erhöhen. Wie groß dieser Beitrag jedoch ist: Das zeigt eine neue Studie, die jetzt in der Fachzeitschrift Proceedings of the Royal Society B veröffentlicht wurde.
