SMEX’s Recommendations for Lebanon at the Universal Periodic Review (UPR)

Lebanon is facing its fourth Universal Periodic Review (UPR) in November 2025, a critical moment that we can leverage to report on the state of digital rights in the country. At a time when the internet infrastructure is still recovering from Israel’s devastating war and as online freedoms face further restrictions, SMEX resorts to the UPR to advocate for meaningful digital rights reforms before the UN Human Rights Council.

Die gerade erschiene Ausgabe des renommierten THE World University Ranking vergleicht 2.191 Universitäten aus 115 Ländern und Gebieten. Die Julius-Maximilians-Universität Würzburg (JMU) belegt darin Platz 179 im weltweiten Vergleich, Platz 17 in Deutschland und Platz 3 in Bayern. Damit reiht sie sich unter den besten Universitäten des Landes ein.

This is software under free licences that grants its users four freedoms: to run the software for any purpose, to examine how it works and thus also the source code, to adapt it to their own needs, and to redistribute the software, even in modified versions.
