Join us at the upcoming DMRC Visitor Seminar on Tuesday 10 February, led by visiting fellow Dr Lisa Merten from Leibniz Institute for Media Research | Hans-Bredow-Institut (HBI), who will be introducing the collaborative research project POLTRACK – Political Polarization and Individualized Online Information Environments (2022–2027)

As usual, the Carinthian Academic Championships in mixed volleyball took place in the Waidmannsdorf sports hall shortly after Epiphany. Under the direction of experienced tournament director Eve SIEBERT-KROISLEITNER, the teams competed for the coveted title. The preliminary round was played in two groups. Afterwards, the respective rankings were decided.

On January 12, 2026—just at the right time—the Academic Ski and Winter Adventure Day took place again this year at Goldeck. Fresh snow fell just before the event, setting the stage for a perfect day of winter sports.
Once again, participants had the opportunity to choose between several activities. These included a guided snowshoe hike, a ski tour, free skiing, and free snowboarding. Of course, the legendary ski and snowboard race was also on the program again.

Die bakterielle Prostatitis, eine Infektion der Prostata, die in erster Linie durch Escherichia coli (E. coli) verursacht wird, ist ein häufiges Gesundheitsproblem bei Männern. Weltweit sind etwa ein Prozent aller Männer im Laufe ihres Lebens davon betroffen. Die Infektion entsteht, wenn Bakterien aus der Harnröhre oder der Blase in die Prostata gelangen. Die Behandlung der bakteriellen Prostatitis ist nach wie vor schwierig, da die Patienten oft lange Antibiotikabehandlungen mit hohen Dosen benötigen.
